| QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree or equiv. experience.
• Minimum of 3 years Siebel application experience w/ large multi-lingual
implementations (Siebel Tools, Escript, EAI, Workflow and EIM), preferably
in architect role.
• Strong understanding of Siebel 7 Architecture on UNIX, Siebel Gateway,
Web, Application & DB Servers.
• Experience w/ related Document Servers, Resonate, LDAP, QAS & various
reports servers a plus.
• Strong understanding of Siebel 7 Server Admin. incl: Enterprise Configuration
& Operations, Component Groups and Server Components, Component Group
Definitions & Repeating Component Requests.
• Strong knowledge of migration of software releases through various environments.
• Strong Siebel platform analysis & solution experience (application
monitoring, Siebel logs analysis, end-to-end troubleshooting, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Siebel 7 configuration, primarily supporting
performance, database extensions (tables & columns)& custom foreign
keys & indexes.
• Experience in performance/scalability analysis of application through
all tiers.
• Proven record of performance tuning all aspects of an enterprise solution
(business process, UI, Siebel application, scripting, database, SQL, network,
servers, clients).
• Expert in Oracle and SQL performance tuning.
• Working experience w/ Unix and Windows platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to gain cooperation & motivate those contributing
to the development/support of a system.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills & strong organizational
skills w/attention to detail & quality.
• Proactive, positive, results-oriented w/ ability to manage multiple

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define the architecture roadmap for the Siebel enterprise; communicate
this strategy to Center of Excellence team & work to apply standards.
• Lead & take ownership of technical portion of larger projects.
• Assist in writing technical specifications based on business requirements;
designs & develops key processes for architecture & infrastructure
maintenance.
• Deliver on challenging system performance targets; identifies &
resolves performance bottlenecks within the system platform.
• Perform capacity planning (#users; network utilization; file system,
memory, CPU, etc) to accommodate planned system growth.
• Conduct Technical reviews of all new projects & enhancements to
existing installed base.
• Communicate status to project lead &/or delivery manager on a regular
basis.
• May perform the role of a project lead as needed.
• Act as a mentor to others, provides assistance during the coding process
& Performs QA on other developers' code.
• Enforce coding, testing & implementation standards.
• Research & evaluate alternative solutions, & recommend the most
efficient & cost effective solution for the systems/program design.
• Analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement & recommend
technically sound solutions.
• Evaluate & stay current with new technologies & the benefits
of those technologies.
• Evaluate & suggest areas within the current system where new technology
can be implemented.

DESIRED:
• Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
• Broad technical expertise in the following areas: J2EE, JSP, XML, servlet
containers, SQL, databases, Oracle/PL-SQL, database troubleshooting, tuning
& design, integration technologies especially web services, effective
app. architectures & OO development & software engineering methodologies.
• CVS or other source code control system experience.
• Siebel 7 Core Certification preferred.
• Unix/Linux development platform experience.
• Background & understanding of software architecture concepts &
practices
