LSS General Manager, Anesthesia

Essential Functions

  • Business leader for $300m anesthesia business segment, responsible for the development and execution of strategies centered on the growth of this segment. Growth track of 15% in 2006.
  • Responsible for leadership and comprehension of the true needs and expectations of the customer from a product, technology and clinical perspective. Integrate this information into effective products with the technology edge.
  • Will have direct responsibility for product development marketing and engineering (approx 100+ employees). Must drive overall business, including dotted line areas of operations, sourcing, global sales, services, etc. to continue double digit growth through innovation and customer connection.
  • Define and lead appropriate market segmentation and positioning strategies for the anesthesia segment, including strategies for cutting edge technologies, segment offerings, demand creation, channel penetration, customer targeting, education and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 7 + years of technical leadership of multiple global programs in either life support, or other industry background with a focus on accuracy, safety, precision and hazard level.
  • 7 + years Marketing experience with strong data driven process skills.
  • 3 + years experience in executive level leadership in leading global business of equivalent size with multifunctional teams in a global environment. Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and businesses.
  • BS Degree in Engineering or other technical field. Marketing or Business degree and/or experience also preferred.
  • Change Management Skills - able to shape complex group, maintain quality while increasing speed to market. Understanding and ability to work in a high process-driven, structured environment
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to influence, coach, listening skills; executive presence, multi-task, open, with a balance of information sharing and trust; have fun and connect with staff
  • Strong branding and value development. Creative and innovative to provide product vision and grow the business.
