Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Lead the global hardware engineering function for the $1.5 billion MR
business. This role is responsible for 100+ global employees located in
Milwaukee and India with dotted line responsibility for 40+ employees
Japan and China. This role must provide the vision and 10 year roadmap
for the hardware technology and architecture for a multi-million dollar
highly complex imaging system that saves thousands of lives annually.
This team works with every discipline in hardware design (digital, RF,
Power, and Mechanical) the leader must be skilled in each.
Major deliverables:
- Functional ownership of the hardware team as well as quality and timely
delivery to current programs.
- Partner with key members of the product development team including:
Software, Marketing, and Applications.
- Key member of the business management team. Must be able to be a business
leader and technology leader simultaneously
- Effectively manage a $12M global annual budget.
- Assure the latest in hardware technologies and design processes are
effectively leveraged into the product and development processes
- Assure timely, cost effective, and quality delivery of hardware in
product development driving increased clinically relevant capability,
with higher quality, at a lower product cost.
- Grow and develop the team, continue to up grade the global team to
increase the competency of the entire organization.
- Create hardware development Centers of Excellence to ensure the most
effective use of global talent.
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure manufacturability and production
flow in global product facilities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Master’s of Engineering (EE, ME or Biomed)
15 years industry experience in hardware design across all hardware design
disciplines
Prior Global Engineering leadership.
Business acumen
Program Management experience with large-scale complex systems
Ability to build and motivate teams globally
Creative problem solving skills
Visionary leader

Strong MR system knowledge.
Cross-functional MR Engineering experience.
